All backup nuclear cruisers of Russia to be back in service within 10 years

On the Navy Day which was celebrated Sunday, the Navy parades were held in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and Vilyuchinsk, and some other naval centers in Russia.
 
In Petropavlovsk, the program of celebrations featured a show with marine scouts, training exercises of ships, and a concert with participation of local amateur collectives. In Vilyuchinsk, there was a naval garrison parade and a festive theatrical show.
 
As reported before, on the eve of the holiday, a representative of the Main Staff of the Navy of Russia has informed the media that modernization of the Russian nuclear cruisers is to be complete before 2020.
 
"Cruisers Admiral Nakhimov, Admiral Lazarev and Admiral Ushakov will be modernized and become operational in the Navy of the Russian Federation within 10 years. All internal equipment of the ships, including the weaponry, the generating station, the combat control systems of the ships, will be replaced", said the representative of the Staff.
