On May 14, 2011 the final of International Song Contest “Eurovision 2011” will take place in multifunctional entertainment complex “Esprit-Arena” in western German Dusseldorf. May 10 and 12 semi-finals will be held. All the “Eurovision” parts will take place since 10 to 14 May. The organizer is NDR broadcasting company.Among other cities an application in Contest sent Hamburg, Düsseldorf, Berlin, Cologne and Hanover, but on the last stage only Berlin and Dusseldorf stayed. “Esprit Arena” containing 50 000 lookers became the bottom line. Other cities could offer music venues containing only 12 000 lookers. Above all Berlin came across a number of financial obstacles.
Due to 19-year old Lena Meyer-Landrut’s “Satellite” victory in Oslo last year, it will be the first “Eurovision” in last 28 years. Meyer-Landrut will present Germany again.
