Gazprom to sign new contracts to supply gas to Belarus
A meeting of Chairman of the Board of JSC Gazprom, Alexei Miller, Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus, Sergei Rumas, and Energy Minister of Belarus, Alexander Ozerets, has taken place at the central office of Gazprom, says the official press release of the state corporation.The top brass discussed the details of a new contract for gas supply and transit, in conjunction with a 50% stake in OAO Beltransgaz draft purchase agreement.
The press release notes the high degree of understanding of the parties in the negotiation process, which allows for approval of documents as scheduled.
As Alexei Miller noted, "the talks with our Belarusian friends are very intense and on the right track. There are few questions left, and they are not fundamental. We can tell you with real confidence that the achievement of final arrangements is a matter of the nearest future. I am sure that we will be ready to sign all the necessary documents in November".
