Medvedev grants extraordinary interview to three channels

On Thursday, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev gave an extraordinary interview to three federal channels. Medvedev had a conversation with the heads of channels First, Russia-1 and NTV.

The interview was recorded in Medvedev’s residence on the evening of September 29. The questions to the President were posed by the general director of ‘First Channel’ Konstantin Ernst, the head of VGTRK Oleg Dobrodeyev, and CEO of NTV, Vladimir Kulistikov.

"The President felt it necessary to present his vision of the situation in the country with reference to the decisions that were made public at the congress of the United Russia party", said the spokeswoman of Dmitry Medvedev, Natalia Timakova.

Actually, the whole conversation was focused on that topic. It lasted 25 minutes. The interview will be shown on the three channels on September 30, at 20:30 Moscow time.

Timakova also stressed that this interview is not going to call off the traditional "Year in Review with Dmitry Medvedev". The broadcast will take place as usual, at the end of December.
