Killer Elite tops Russian film distribution

Action movie Killer Elite with Jason Statham, Clive Owen and Robert De Niro in the lead roles now tops the list of box-office hits in Russia for the weekend of September 22-25. As RIA Novosti reports, citing information from the magazine ‘Film Business Today’, the movie has collected $2.7 million in Russia’s box office.
 
Fright Night: Fear Thy Neighbors – the recent remake of the 1985 thriller – clinched second place in the reporting period. The Indo-US film with Colin Farrell in the title role has brought $1.4 million.
 
Thriller Abduction won third place on the list of most popular films of the weekend. The movie, released in Russian theaters on September 22, brought $1.2 million to its distributors.
 
In fourth place was the leader of the previous week, the movie Johnny English: Reloaded with a $1.1 million stash. And, finally, the top five was locked up with the romantic comedy Crazy, Stupid, Love, which brought together 900 thousand dollars.
